Your running, kept.
RunCalendar is built so you can keep a record of your running for as long as you run: the races you chose, the plans you followed, the finish lines you crossed. That record is yours. This page says exactly what the app holds, why, and how to take it back.
What we don't do
- No account needed to start. Browse, search and save under an anonymous identifier made on your phone.
- No ads, ever. No selling or renting your data. No data brokers.
- No tracking across other apps or websites. No advertising identifiers.
- No precise location, no contacts, no device fingerprinting.
- No third-party analytics companies. Our usage counts run in our own systems, and you can switch them off in Profile.
- Apple Health is optional — asked for only when you choose it, read-only, and never written to.
- Delete everything in two taps, from Profile. It is gone from our systems, not hidden.
What the app keeps for you
- Your record. The races you save with their roles and goal times, your interested list, your results, notes and photos if you use the race log, your training plans and how each session went. This is the part that becomes valuable over years.
- Your preferences. Home country, units (km or miles), and the reminders you have chosen.
- Your account, if you make one. An email address and password, or the identity from Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In — a private relay email included, if you choose to hide yours. An account is what lets your record follow you to a new phone.
- Your workouts, if you connect Apple Health. Running workouts matched against planned sessions, with the matched workout's distance, time, pace, climb and temperature stored beside the plan. Nothing else from Health. Connecting is entirely optional, the app works fully without it, we read the minimum, and you can disconnect any time in iOS Settings.
- A notification token, so the reminders you asked for — registration opening, race week — can reach your phone through Apple's push service. It does nothing else.
- Usage counts. A search ran, a race was viewed, a guide was read. Pseudonymous and aggregated — no names, no precise location, no device fingerprinting — and used to understand what's working and which races runners can't find. Off in Profile if you prefer; deleted with your account.
- Bot check. To stop automated bots creating accounts, sign-ins pass Cloudflare Turnstile invisibly — no puzzle to solve. That check runs on Cloudflare's systems under Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum; we receive only the result.
- Emails you send us. We keep the thread.
How we use it
- To provide the app: showing your saved season, syncing it to your account, and sending emails you request (such as password resets or, if you opt in, race-date confirmations).
- To operate and improve the service, including aggregate, non-identifying statistics (for example, how many users saved a particular race).
- We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Where it lives
Your data is stored with Supabase, our database and authentication provider, on servers located in the Asia-Pacific region (Singapore), with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. Sign-in via Apple or Google is processed by those providers under their own privacy policies; we receive only the identity needed to create your account.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account inside the app. This permanently removes your account and everything associated with it — your season, saved races, alerts, and profile — from our systems. If you have trouble, email us and we'll do it for you.
Your rights
Under the GDPR where it applies, the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and similar laws, you can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us at the address below and we'll respond promptly.
Children
RunCalendar is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update this page and note it in the app. The effective date above always reflects the current version.
