A 5-mile course through Emerson Point Preserve on Snead Island, Palmetto. Most of the route is hard shell-packed winding trail through beaches, lagoons, salt marsh, mangrove swamp and coastal hammock, finishing along a paved 1.5-mile park road. Start and finish sit about 0.1 miles apart inside the preserve.
