Starts on the Belmar boardwalk opposite 16th Avenue and runs south about a mile to the September 11 Memorial in Spring Lake, where flags and flowers are placed, then continues to the Spring Lake beach gazebo near Newark Avenue before returning to the start at each runner's own pace. Run on road and boardwalk. No aid stations, no timing and no entry fee.
