A USA Track and Field certified out-and-back course starting on the south edge of the Aber Park and Museum grounds. The route passes Fort Abercrombie, crosses the Red River through McCauleyville, then turns north over a creek to the turnaround and back. A Kids Mini-Run is held alongside the 5K.

The Aber Days 5k Walk/Run is held during the Aber Days community festival in Abercrombie, North Dakota. Runners follow a certified out-and-back course from the Aber Park and Museum grounds, past Fort Abercrombie and across the Red River before turning back. A Kids Mini-Run is held alongside the main race.
