Course
Starts and finishes at the funicular station in Bourg-Saint-Maurice, running between Bourg-Saint-Maurice and Séez on small paved country lanes and the cycle path beside the Isère. The half marathon is a 21.097 km loop covered twice for the marathon, undulating and largely shaded through wooded country. A 10 km and a 5.5 km solidarity walk run alongside.

The Marathon des Alpes is run between Bourg-Saint-Maurice and Séez in the Tarentaise valley, on country lanes and the cycle path along the Isère rather than on mountain trail. Runners choose the marathon, half marathon or 10 km, with a 5.5 km solidarity walk alongside. The start and finish sit at the Bourg-Saint-Maurice funicular station.
