Course
The marathon is two laps of a World Athletics certified 21.1 km loop, starting at Ballarat Town Hall on Sturt Street. The flat sealed course runs through Victoria Park and around Lake Wendouree past the city's historic buildings. Thirteen drink stations sit at roughly 3 km intervals with water, electrolyte, gels and toilets.
