The Barbarossa Berglauf is a hill race in Göppingen that climbs toward the ruined Hohenstaufen castle, ancestral seat of the Hohenstaufen dynasty and Emperor Frederick Barbarossa. Runners choose between 5km, 10km and 21km courses through the surrounding hills.
