Course
A point-to-point course starting at Howard and Fremont Streets in downtown San Francisco, with waves at 8:00 and 8:45 a.m., and finishing at 1000 Great Highway near the ocean. The route runs on city streets through Golden Gate Park. The 15K option adds roughly 3 km along the Great Highway to the standard 12K route.

Bay to Breakers is San Francisco's legendary costume race, run continuously since 1912. The point-to-point course crosses the city from the Embarcadero to Ocean Beach on the Pacific, climbing the notorious Hayes Street Hill along the way, with runners choosing the 12K or 15K distance.
