Course
A point-to-point net-downhill course along the historic Bizz Johnson rail trail, with runners bused to a remote start at Mason Station Trailhead. The route climbs about 280 ft through Lassen National Forest to Westwood Junction, then drops roughly 1,300 ft over the last 20 miles into Susanville, crossing the Susan River ten times on wooden railroad bridges and passing through two old rail tunnels. USATF certified.

The Bizz Johnson Marathon runs point-to-point along the historic Bizz Johnson Trail, a former rail line that follows the Susan River Canyon into Susanville. The net-downhill course crosses old rail trestles and tunnels, with race distances from 10K to 50K.
