Course
A flat out-and-back along the historic Lehigh Valley Trail, a former rail corridor. Both races start and finish in the hamlet of Mendon near the ball fields south of Route 251, the half turning at 6.55 miles toward Rush and the 5K at 1.55 miles toward Chamberlain Road. The half marathon course is USATF certified.

The Black Diamond Express Half Marathon and 5K takes place in Mendon, New York, supporting the Mendon Foundation. It's named after the Black Diamond Express, a well-known passenger train once run by the Lehigh Valley Railroad through the region.
