Course
Point-to-point 50-mile course from Sturgeon Lake to Duluth, roughly 43 miles of it on the Willard Munger Trail, a soft paved rail-trail surface. The route is close to flat for the first 40 miles, then descends gradually, losing about 500 feet over the final 10 miles. Eleven aid stations carry water, energy drinks, gels and food.
