Course
Start and finish on the north side of the YMCA of the Northern Sky in downtown Fargo. Both distances head south through the Hawthorne and Clara Barton School neighbourhoods; the 10K splits off at 1.75 miles for a turnaround in Lindenwood Park before rejoining the 5K route.

Burn the Bird is a Thanksgiving Day 5K and 10K through downtown Fargo, North Dakota, hosted by the YMCA and run each year before the holiday meal. The event draws well over a thousand runners and walkers, making it one of Fargo's biggest race-day traditions.
