Course
An out-and-back 55K run up Canyon de Chelly on the Navajo Nation, starting at the canyon entrance and following the canyon floor 17 miles to Spider Rock past ancient ruins and petroglyphs. Runners then climb the Bat Canyon Trail, 1,200ft up to the Spider Rock overlook turnaround, before retracing the route. Footing is sand, single track and creek crossings, with deep sand over the first and last 2.5 miles.
