Course

A flat, single-loop city course starting and finishing at Green Point, running the Atlantic seaboard, the city centre and the Foreshore with Table Mountain in view for most of the way. Fast, sea-level and usually cool in October, with the Cape wind the only real variable.

The Sanlam Cape Town Marathon is Africa's premier city marathon and a candidate race for Abbott World Marathon Majors status, run on a fast course beneath Table Mountain and along the Atlantic seaboard. The weekend also features peace runs and trail events alongside the marathon.
