Course
Run and walk options are 5km (family beach walk and an under-14 beach race), 12km walk, 12km run and a 21km Akatore Challenge run. The 12km and 21km courses cross gravel roads, farm paddocks, coastal tracks, beaches and wetlands on private farmland; the 5km uses country roads and beach. Runs start at 10:00am from Livingstonia Park, Taieri Mouth.

The Coastal Classic at Taieri Mouth, south of Dunedin, offers mountain bike races plus 5km, 12km and 21km run and walk options. Courses cross gravel roads, farm paddocks, coastal tracks, beaches and wetlands on private farmland normally closed to the public, starting and finishing at Livingstonia Park.
