Course

Point-to-point 43-mile ultra from the Shoulder of Mutton pub in Wendover to the Stowe Centre near Little Venice canal basin in London. Roughly 11 miles of cross-country trail, 12 miles of road and path, then 20 miles of Grand Union Canal towpath into the city. Around +1,375ft of ascent. Five checkpoints with water, snacks and fruit cake; hot drinks at the finish.

The Country to Capital ultra is a 43-mile race that marks the start of the ultra running season. It attracts a global field of some of the best runners in Britain and beyond, taking them through the Buckinghamshire countryside and along the Grand Union Canal towpath towards the finish in London's Little Venice. This famous race is the starting point for those looking to take on the Grand Slam of four ultra marathons over 180 gruelling miles.
