Course

A 6.7km loop repeated on the hour under backyard ultra rules, set on a working sixth-generation cattle property in rural Queensland. The route is entirely off-road farm and bush terrain, dropping through the dry gully the race is named for and crossing a creek bed with exposed tree roots underfoot.

About

Located on a 6th generation cattle property in rural Queensland, this Backyard Ultra Marathon is a unique endurance event where participants must complete a 6.7km loop within an hour, every hour, until only one runner remains. The event takes place where cattle roam free and gullies run dry, offering runners a distinctive outback ultra-marathon experience. The race format follows the backyard ultra concept created by Gary Cantrell, testing participants' physical and mental limits in the Australian bush.

A confirmed date shows its day; a provisional one shows only its month, because we won't claim a day we don't have. This page is rebuilt every night from the RunCalendar catalogue.
