The 5K runs on closed streets through downtown Fort Myers, starting on Jackson Street just south of Edwards Drive. It is held immediately before the Edison Festival of Light Grand Parade, with an estimated 200,000 spectators already lining the route.

This race precedes the Edison Festival of Light Grand Parade. Participants run along the streets of downtown Fort Myers that is lined with 200,000 (est.) cheering spectators gathered for the Grand Parade. The starting line will be South of Edwards Drive on Jackson Street.
