Course
All courses start and finish just north of the Gail Borden Library at Grove Avenue and Ann Street, Elgin. The 10 mile runs sealed roads, including a climb on Cedar Avenue and a downhill finish on Grove Avenue. The 2K walk is an out-and-back on the Fox River Trail. A USATF map shows water stations, toilets and first aid.

The Elgin Valley Fox Trot is a long-running community event in Elgin, offering a 10-mile race, a 5K run and a 2K walk. All courses start and finish near the Gail Borden Library, with the 10-miler climbing Cedar Avenue and the 2K walk following the Fox River Trail.
