Course
A point-to-point 15km along the Fernleigh Track, a former rail line converted to a sealed shared path running through Newcastle and Lake Macquarie. The course starts at the corner of Park Avenue and Bailey Street in Adamstown and finishes in the park off the track at Belmont TAFE on Alick Street. The surface is flat and wheelchair accessible.

Fernleigh 15 follows the historic Fernleigh Track, a converted rail corridor linking Adamstown and Belmont near Lake Macquarie. A short out-and-back section at Redhead breaks up the point-to-point route, which also includes a 1.5km children's race based in Belmont.
