Run on the Military Reserve trail system at Fort Boise Park, over singletrack and open grassy field. Both the 5K and the 12K may be run or hiked. The organisers reserve the right to alter the course or the date in wet conditions to protect the trails.

The Foothills XC12K offers 5K and 12K distances that can be run or hiked, starting at 8:00 AM with an 11:00 AM cutoff. Funds raised benefit the Bogus Basin Nordic Team and support the development of Nordic skiing in the Treasure Valley.
