Course
Runners board the ferry in downtown Seattle for the 35-minute crossing to Bainbridge Island, then walk off the car deck to start at the ferry dock. The half marathon loops the island through Grand Forest and Battle Point Park — about two-thirds road and one-third groomed trail — with around 1,400 ft of climbing, finishing at the post-race festival. Five aid stations carry water, GU gels and Tailwind electrolytes.

About
The Great Ferry Race takes runners across Puget Sound by ferry before a half marathon on Bainbridge Island. The route mixes island roads with groomed forest trail and climbs steadily through parkland. A post-race festival at the finish precedes the ferry ride back to Seattle.
