Course
Out-and-back on Whitehaven Beach, Whitsunday Island, using roughly 7 km of beach; the half marathon covers two out-and-back laps while the 10 km and 5 km run to their own turnarounds and back. Surface is hard-packed sand throughout. Competitors reach the start by chartered ferry from Port of Airlie or Hamilton Island Marina.
