An urban loop starting near the Peace Center on South Main Street, running downtown Greenville streets including West Broad, West Washington and Willard, with a stretch on the Reedy River greenway and a footbridge crossing before the downtown finish.

The 47th annual Greenville Journal Run Downtown 5K is held on the third Saturday of each January. The race is one of the oldest, largest and most popular 5K events in the state, running strong since 1979.
