About
The Hakodate Marathon starts and finishes at Chiyodai Park Athletics Stadium in Hokkaido. The course runs through central Hakodate past the Red Brick Warehouse district and along streets facing the Tsugaru Strait, finishing via the man-made Midori-no-Shima island. First run as a half marathon in 1991, the race now draws several thousand entrants each June.
