Both races start and finish on the historic Hernando Town Square, winding through tree-lined neighbourhood streets and past the 1925 Hernando Water Tower. Half marathon runners must reach the 10-mile mark by 11:00am; the course closes at midday.

The Hernando Water Tower 10K and Half Marathon runs through Hernando, Mississippi, named for the town's landmark water tower in DeSoto County. The race is sponsored by Toyota of Hernando and draws runners each October.
