Course
Loop course around Holiday Lake in the Appomattox-Buckingham State Forest, starting and finishing at the Holiday Lake 4-H Center. The 50K++ runs the roughly 16.6-mile loop then reverses it for about 33.3 miles total; the 25K is one loop. Surface is singletrack, forest-service and dirt roads, with aid roughly every four miles.

Held each February at the 4-H center in Appomattox, Virginia, Holiday Lake 50K++ loops around Holiday Lake on singletrack, forest service roads, and dirt roads, with the 50K retracing the first loop in reverse. It kicks off the Lynchburg Ultra Series and has grown from 71 finishers to over 300 in recent years, now directed by Brenton and Jamie Swyers.
