The 5K begins and ends near the pavilion at Parkside Place Park on Sumneytown Pike, North Wales. The route leaves the park into a neighbourhood, then follows the shoulder of W Walnut Street, Moyer Blvd and West Point Pike before returning into the park. Professionally timed.

The Howloween 5K and 1-Mile Dog Walk in North Wales, Pennsylvania pairs a run/walk with a Fall Fair featuring vendors, raffle baskets, a costume contest, a dog agility course, food trucks and "puppuccinos" for four-legged friends. Participants are encouraged to come in costume.
