The Ibigawa Marathon runs along the Ibigawa river in rural Gifu Prefecture, sending runners upstream past Kuse village to a turnaround near Fujihashi before returning to Ibigawa town hall. Since a landslide ended the full marathon, only the half marathon and a 3km walk continue, capped around 5,000 entrants.
