Course
Both races start and finish at the Sports and Fitness Center at Northern Essex Community College in Haverhill. The half marathon is a figure-eight beside the Merrimack River, opening with a 5K loop of the college campus before heading out on rural roads; the 5K is that first loop only. Five aid stations with water and Gatorade sit at miles 2.4, 5, 6.8, 9.3 and 11.4. Roads stay open to local traffic.
