The Joshu Hotakayama SkyView Trail is a high-mountain ultra race through the Mount Hotaka range above Kawaba, Gunma. Runners cover either 138km or 77km across steep, remote alpine terrain near the headwaters of the Tone River, classed as one of Japan's toughest high-mountain trail races.
