Jungle Gardens 7K Trail, 5K Run & 1 Mile

Course

All three distances run on the hard-packed garden roads that loop through Jungle Gardens on Avery Island, past bamboo groves, live oaks and the bird sanctuary. The surface is unpaved but even and not technical, so it suits road runners as well as trail runners. The 1-mile starts at 8:00am, with the 5K and 7K going off half an hour later, eight minutes apart.

About

The 7K trail run, 5K run and 1-mile fun run take place on Avery Island, home to the Tabasco pepper mash warehouses and the McIlhenny family's Jungle Gardens, a subtropical garden and bird sanctuary. Courses wind through the gardens' bamboo groves and live oaks.
