Course
A roughly 6-mile climb from the base of Loon Mountain to the summit, gaining about 3,066 feet over cat track, technical single track and grass ski slopes. Gradients run 15 to 20 percent before the finish up Upper Walking Boss, a black-diamond pitch of around 40 percent. Two fluid stations sit mid-course, with more at the finish and Governor Adams Lodge.

The Loon Mountain Race sends runners straight up the ski slopes of Loon Mountain in New Hampshire's White Mountains. The roughly 10K course gains steep vertical from base to summit area, making it one of the country's classic mountain running challenges and a longstanding U.S. mountain running championship race.
