Mountain trail courses on and around Mt Macedon in the Macedon Ranges, starting and finishing at the race village on Cameron Drive. The routes use varied forest tracks with sustained climbs and descents, and are often wrapped in mountain fog that cuts visibility. Longer distances repeat sections of the shorter loops.

Mt Macedon remains a mystery, so often blanketed in an eerie fog, visibility on the trails can often be short. But the memories gained here are long and the trails are varied, challenging and rewarding. Macedon Trail Run is the 4th in the Trailsplus Mountain Trail Series. It offers incredibly beautiful scenic mountain trails with challenging ascents and descents.
