A flat city course along the Guaiba waterfront in Porto Alegre. The marathon passes the Orla, the historic centre and the city parks, and the half marathon takes in historic sites with views over the Guaiba. The 10K is a wide, flat and fast route along the Orla, and a short 5K is offered for first-timers.

The Maratona Internacional de Porto Alegre is one of Latin America's oldest marathons, running along the waterfront of Lake Guaíba in southern Brazil. Recent editions have used a flatter route, with distances from 5K to the full 42K.
