The 3.12-mile course starts and finishes at Main Beach on Ocean Avenue in East Hampton Village. It is mostly flat with only moderate changes in elevation, and is open to both runners and walkers. The race starts at 9:00am, rain or shine.

The May Day 5K is a charitable run and walk held at Main Beach in East Hampton Village, New York. Founded by local high-school students, it raises funds for the Family Service League of Long Island. The mostly flat course is open to runners and walkers of all abilities.
