Course
A roughly 20-mile loop starting and finishing at Louis Murphy Park, Dubuque, spending most of its miles in the Mines of Spain Recreation Area. The surface is dirt, grass and rock trail with short stretches of pavement at the start and end, ranging from flat singletrack to rolling grass and steep technical sections. Four aid stations are passed five times a lap, 2.1 to 6.3 miles apart.

The Mines of Spain 100 is a trail ultramarathon featuring 100 mile and 100 kilometer races on a challenging ~20-mile looped course through the bluffs, prairies, and forests of the Mines of Spain Recreation Area.
