Course
Based at Montebello Campground in the Blue Ridge, mixing dirt and gravel roads, old logging and jeep roads and singletrack through Jefferson National Forest. The 100K starts 4:30 am, the 50-mile and 50K at 5:30 am, with aid stations including Long Mountain Wayside and Porters Ridge.

This 50-mile ultramarathon starts at Montebello Campground and winds through Jefferson National Forest on gravel roads and singletrack before a steep 2.9-mile descent to the finish. First held in 1985, it is one of the oldest ultra-distance trail races in the eastern United States, also offering 50K and 100K distances.
