About

The Mátrabérc Trail is one of the defining spring trail running events in Hungary, which challenges both domestic and foreign runners year after year. The race route follows the main ridge of the Mátra Mountains in an east-west direction, crossing the entire mountain range. The course runs on 99% natural soil forest roads, 4/5 of which are typical, often single-track ridge roads with magnificent views. The two highest peaks in Hungary, Kékes at 1,014 meters and Galyatető at 965 meters, are part of this impressive route. The overall event name, Mátrabérc Trails, includes the classic 55 km distance as well as two shorter segments.

A confirmed date shows its day; a provisional one shows only its month, because we won't claim a day we don't have. This page is rebuilt every night from the RunCalendar catalogue.
