Course
An out-and-back marathon and half marathon run almost entirely on the crushed gravel and dirt of the Northern Central Railroad Trail. Both start at Oldfields School, Sparks-Glencoe, dropping 0.8 miles down Glencoe Road before joining the rail trail beside the Gunpowder River. Flat with a net 151ft loss; water and Gatorade every 3 to 3.5 miles and gels at miles 7, 14, 16 and 20.

The NCR Marathon & Half Marathon runs along the North Central Railroad Trail, a flat converted rail line beside Gunpowder Falls in Baltimore County, Maryland, from Sparks Glencoe. The Baltimore Road Runners Club hosts the race each November.
