Course
A flat, USATF-certified half marathon starting and finishing harbour-side at Cashman Park in Newburyport, running the roads of West Newbury and the Clipper Rail Trail. Six aid stations with water, Gatorade and toilets at miles 1.5, 3.2, 5.0, 8.3, 10.5 and 12.4. A 2-person relay exchanges at 6.5 miles; the 5K is an out-and-back on the rail trail.

The Newburyport Half Marathon and 5K run a fast, flat counter-clockwise loop starting and finishing at Cashman Park on the Merrimack River. The route passes through Moseley Pines and Maudslay State Park before returning through the historic seaport town's streets.
