Course
A point-to-point trail race on the way-marked Newcastle Way. The marathon starts in Newcastle town centre, climbs through Tollymore Forest, crosses to Castlewellan Forest and drops to Murlough, finishing through the National Trust Murlough Reserve and along the beach into Newcastle. The half marathon starts outside Castlewellan Forest and follows the same route home. The trail carries only its existing waymarks; runners navigate from a GPX file.
