Course

A point-to-point course down the Elbe valley into Dresden. The marathon starts at Koenigstein, the half marathon at Pirna, and the 10km and 5km at the SchillerGarten and Waldschloesschenbruecke, with every distance finishing inside the Heinz-Steyer-Stadion. Drinks are offered roughly every 5km, fruit from 10km, isotonic drinks and bars from 20km.

The VVO Oberelbe-Marathon takes runners down the Elbe valley from Saxon Switzerland into Dresden, finishing in the Heinz-Steyer-Stadion. Marathon, half marathon, 10km and 5km races are offered, along with a mini-marathon and a childrens Bambinilauf.
