Course
Both races start and finish at Pheasant Branch Conservancy near Middleton, Wisconsin. The 5K is a flat, fast loop on the main crushed limestone path and suits walkers and stroller runners. The 10K tours less-travelled parts of the conservancy over dirt, grass, gravel and a little pavement, with a couple of hills.

Prairie Chase is a key fundraiser for the Friends of Pheasant Branch Conservancy and an important way to share our work with the community. The restored prairie, wetland, and forest provides many benefits to our region, including vital wildlife, control and cleaning of stormwater entering Lake Mendota, and a place to recreate and experience natural open space.
