An out-and-back on the Ecusta Trail, a converted rail corridor, starting and finishing at the Hendersonville Welcome Center on South Main Street. The surface is a wide paved shared-use greenway with gentle grades. The 5K turns at Southern Streams CoffeeHouse; the one-mile turns near Spring Street.

Railway Races is an inaugural event on Hendersonville's Ecusta Trail, a rail-trail built along a former railway corridor in the North Carolina foothills. Runners can choose the 10-mile or 5K distance along the flat trail.
