Course
Starts on Seascale beachfront at 07:00 and finishes at Seascale Sports Hall, so the 33-mile route comes full circle. Runners head inland on quiet country lanes, pick up trails in Wasdale and follow the shore of Wast Water before the ascent of Scafell Pike, then take a different line back down to the coast. Four pit stops; the whole route is marked with orange arrows.
