Course

Backyard-ultra format: a flat 6.7 km loop following the Tukituki River, with a new lap starting on the hour from 9:00am until one runner remains. Every lap starts and finishes at event HQ, the A&P Showgrounds in Waipukurau. Surface mixes limestone path and dirt single track that can be slippery or muddy in wet conditions. HQ has covered space, toilets, power and water.

The River-Run Backyard Ultra is New Zealand's only free Backyard Ultra event. Runners will take on a 6.7km loop course, running one lap every hour until they can no longer continue. The event takes place in the picturesque town of Waipukurau, offering a scenic and challenging course for ultrarunners to test their limits.
