Course
Marathon and half marathon starting and finishing at Bannatyne Gym & Spa, Kingsford Park, Layer De La Haye near Colchester. The marathon runs through the Roman River valley with several river crossings; the half is one loop of the marathon course, taking in the villages west of Colchester. Predominantly hard-packed trail with sections of tarmac and grass footpath, hilly through the valley. Aid stations roughly every 10km.
