Course
A last person standing race on a repeating one mile loop at 5749 County Road H, Arena, run until a single runner remains, with the loop direction reversing every four hours. The surface mixes gravel service road, singletrack dirt and prairie grass; recent editions have run 50 to 75 percent dirt, 5 to 40 percent gravel and 10 to 35 percent grass.

Did somebody say more Cowbell?? Rumble on the Ridge is a take on the traditional Backyard Ultra-Last Person Standing. The event takes place on an old family dairy farm just 40 minutes west of Madison, WI in the heart of the Driftless Area. Participants will compete on a 1"ish" mile looped course, dubbed "The Drifty Mile", completing a loop every 20 minutes.
