Course
Two courses from the Wild Horse Wind and Solar Facility outside Ellensburg. The 5K opens on gravel road for a short out-and-back, then climbs a steep rocky singletrack, roughly 40% gravel road and 60% singletrack with one aid station at the ridge top. The 10K adds a smooth downhill trail through a protected canyon beside the turbines and rolling sections, about 20% gravel road and 80% single/double-track, two aid stations. Both finish uphill.

About
Welcome to Run Like The Wind Trail Running Festival! In collaboration with Puget Sound Energy, Wild Horse Wind and Solar Facility and Run for Good Racing Company we present to you a 5K, 10K, and a free kids dash, woven along the trails, paths and roads of the majestic wind turbines outside of Ellensburg. These races will be challenging, with, most likely a lot of wind but certainly a lot of elevation gain and drop and a few tough trails, but gorgeous with views of Mt. Rainier, the Columbia River and the Eastern Washington plains.
Save Run Like the Wind Running Festival to your season and RunCalendar reminds you the morning entries open and before they close. Free on iPhone, no account needed.
